Volleyball Announces 2022 Schedule – Saint Louis University

Saint Louis University volleyball head coach Kent Miller announced the team’s 2022 schedule, a 30-game slate that includes four non-conference tournaments and 18 Atlantic 10 Conference games.

After an exhibition game with Southern Illinois on Wednesday, August 17 at Chaifetz Pavilion, the Billikens will open their season at the Arkansas State Invitational in Jonesboro, Arkansas, taking on Little Rock, Arkansas State and the Mississippi Valley State.

The Billiken Invitational and Billiken Classic return to Chaifetz Pavilion on September 2 & 3 and September 16 & 17, respectively. Youngstown State, St. Thomas and Central Michigan make up the first tournament, while Missouri State, Kansas City and Iowa State join SLU in the second.

The team will face Eastern Michigan, Virginia Tech and DePaul at the DePaul Tournament in Chicago, Illinois on September 9-10.

SLU’s A-10 schedule will begin on the road with two games in Rhode Island on September 23-24. The league slate has changed to a home and away format so that teams play each other twice at the same venue on consecutive days. The only exception is a back-and-forth streak with Loyola Chicago beginning with a single contest at Chaifetz Pavilion on Oct. 4.

The Billikens will host George Mason, Davidson, Dayton and Duquesne for weekend games and, in addition to Rhode Island and a single game at Loyola Chicago, will travel to George Washington, VCU and Fordham in the league.

SLU will host the A-10 Volleyball Championship for the first time since the 2016 season, hosting the league’s top six teams at Chaifetz Pavilion Nov. 18-20. The winner will win the conference’s automatic bid for the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Championship.
