Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA) has published its latest guide to New Zealand for event planners.
The 29th new-look edition was launched at MEETINGS 2021 and 2,500 copies were distributed to business event organizers across Australia and New Zealand.
BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins said it was appropriate for the new edition to feature koru on its cover – a symbol of new beginnings, growth, strength and peace.
“Not only are we a beautiful country to host an event, but we are also a safe destination to visit. We are a nation responding to an unprecedented time with collaboration and partnership, firmly keeping whānau (family) and manuhiri (guests) at the heart of everything we do, ”Hopkins said, adding that the new
edition of the Guide for event organizers focused on the regions of New Zealand. “Whether individually or as part of a dual-purpose program, New Zealand’s regions are a fascinating blend of cosmopolitan, historic and untouched,” she added.
This key reference tool for event planners is also available as a flipbook which can be viewed on the BEIA website.
“We recognize that the shift to a more digital app seems obvious in today’s climate, and we’re constantly reviewing this. However, we have also listened to important customer feedback that tells us this format is preferred. This is especially tangible in a digital world, which makes it easier to physically present New Zealand to their own clients and colleagues, ”Hopkins said.
At 180 pages, the new guide includes a four-page section for each region in New Zealand, along with key event planning resources and tools for event planners, including a vendor index, categorized by type of service.
“Our singular goal is always to make the decision to host an event in New Zealand easier, and our new guide supports that goal,” Hopkins added.
Commercial events Industrie Aotearoa (BEIA), formerly known as Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ), is the official association of New Zealand’s corporate events industry with over 460 members in various industries.
